Snow is all around us, the village has come alive, and we’re going boarding. If the Alps seem a little expensive for you then maybe the Slovak Tatras would be right up your street.

Ski Slopes Within Walking Distance

We have a great range of slopes within walking distance and we have free transfers to the local big slope, Bachledova Dolina, where you can experience beginner, intermediate, expert, and some interesting off-piste routes.

We have good knowledge of the slopes around the mountains and we will spend time giving you all the information you need to make a decision where you want to go skiing or snowboarding for the best price.

Cheap Ski & Snowboard Lessons

If you need help with getting up on a board or standing on skis there are plenty of options for cheap lessons with English speaking instructors -- there is also a possibility that someone from the hostel will take you to the slope and point you in the right direction. But don’t worry, it wont be straight down!

Great Value Restaurants & €1 drinks

You can enjoy super-cheap alcohol; a pint of beer and glass of wine will set you back €1 each. There are also plenty of cheap eats in the village, including a fantastic pizza pub.

Good Range of Options For Non Skiers & Rest Days

In addition to skiing, the village also offers a small ice rink and plenty of great walking and sledging -- the dog will join you on that one!

Spa and wellness centres are located nearby, so relaxing after a hard session on the slope is also readily available.
