Getting here

From Krakow
Step 1: From Krakow Airport to Krakow City Centre
You will need some Polish Zloty for the journey. These can be purchased from the exchange booth in the airport or before you arrive. 10-15 euros will get you about 30-50 Zloty which should be more than enough for all of the journeys and some food along the way.
Walk out of the airport and take the train to the city centre. You will find the train station by walking out of the front door and walking 5 minutes down the road leading directly away from the airport to the right. Once on the train buy a ticket for 10z from the machine or from the ticket vendor on the train.
Step 2: From Krakow City Centre to Zakopane:
Once in the town centre, you need to take a bus to Zakopane. The Coach station is located by walking down the stairs from the train platform and going into the tram station which is signposted. Walk all the way along the platform to the Coach terminal which, bear in mind, has 2 floors. The Zakopane Coach is easily identified by checking the displays at each stop.
Step 3: From Zakopane to Zdiar (Home of the Ginger Monkey):
Once in Zakopane, walk out of the bus station and take a local minibus to Zdiar. This can be paid in Euros if you are out of Zloty by this point. The bus will be signed for Poprad and is taken from the stop directly outside the main coach station, not the coach stops out the back. Check the times on the board but not all of the times are available throughout the year. The running times can be checked at:
Be sure to check the times of buses against the date you arrive using the letter code at the bottom of the timetable.
Your bus will stop in Zdiar just after the petrol station 'Slovnaft'. From there, head to the unmissable church entrance which is in front of the Ginger Monkey. The kettle will be on!
● Total travel time: 3 hours.
From Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna and Prague:
