Getting here

From Krakow:
Step 1: Catch a bus or train to Zakopane, Both take approximately 2 and half hours.
Step 2: Opposite the Zakopane bus and train station in front of the ‘Fis Bar’, catch the mini bus to the border town Lysa Polana which takes 25 minutes.
Step 3: At Lysa Polana walk over to the Slovakian side of the border and catch the first bus from outside the Sklep (shop). They all head to Poprad via Zdiar. Zdiar is 20 minutes and buses are regular throughout the day.
Step 4: Your bus will stop in Zdiar just after the petrol station 'Slovnaft'. From there, head to the unmissable church entrance which is in front of the Ginger Monkey. The kettle will be on!

From Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna and Prague:
Step 1: Catch a direct train to Poprad
Step 2: Outside the train station is the bus station where you catch a bus in the direction of the border town Lysa Polana, from platform 4 or 5.
Step 3: Zdiar is on the way to the border and takes about 40 minutes.
Step 4: Ask for the centrum, head to the unmissable church entrance which is in front of the Ginger Monkey. The kettle will still be on!

Getting away
On departure from the Ginger Monkey, travel options are plentiful.
Poprad train station has direct links with many major cities around central and eastern Europe, including Bratislava, Kosice (which is linked with Krakow), Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Berlin.
