Moose Hoose
The Moose Hoose is a beautiful cottage that stands alone in the glorious Slovakian countryside. The cottage has 360-degree views of natural beauty with peace and quiet in all directions, and there is plenty of space around the cottage so you can be as loud or as quiet as you like. If peace and quiet isn’t exactly what you had in mind there are speakers you can dock your iPod into.
There are a host of activities available including hiking, bike rides, various racket sports, and loads of board games. We have 3000 sq metres of land around the cottage so you have plenty of space to get out spend some time in one of our hammocks and breathe in the fresh countryside air.
At night you can cook on the open fire in front of the cottage, tell ghost stories, drink wine under the stars or settle in and watch a DVD.
The cottage is self-contained and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. We have three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with three singles. There is also the possibility to sleep two additional people on sofa beds.

Within a few minutes walk from the cottage there is a bar/restaurant and hotel with many facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, gymnasium, sauna spa area, and restaurant.
Locally, within a short bus ride, there are many Slovakian places of interest to visit: Stara Lubovna Castle, the Danjuec River (which borders Poland and Slovakia and offers rafting), Levoca a local historical town, Bardejov (a Unesco site), Slovensky Raj (a beautiful national park), and many more which we will give you all the information on when you arrive.
To get to the cottage you need to head to Stara Lubovna. If you’re coming from Prague there is a direct bus. From other major cities including Krakow, Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest you need to make your way to Poprad and then catch a train or bus to Stara Lubovna from there. Once in Stara Lubovna a taxi to the cottage will cost 6 euro. You need to ask the taxi driver to take you to Lubovnianske Kupele.
Alternatively, you can come to the Ginger Monkey and we will arrange a lift to the cottage for you, this way you can stock up on groceries on the way. Feel free to email or call us for as much information as you need.
